Rest In Peace Mark Keigan And Know That You Are Well Thought Of.

Hi Mark, It’s So Very Sad To Learn You Have Passed Away.

I Remember Meeting You While I Worked At Music Media.  You Were Playing Drums With Adam Hyland, Ron Milne And Some Other Folks.  I’m Happy I got To Jam A Number Of Times In Courtice With That Bunch And Play A Gig On Bloor St. In South Oshawa With You… Farrah Fawcett And Old Crow… Remember?

Later When I Lived Above Alto2 We Wore Our Chuck Taylors Out During A Few Epic Pub Crawls.

Remember Forming The Purple Toads With Rob Sweeney… I Still Get A Chuckle When I Think Of The Night We Came Up With That Name… I Know Sweeney Had The “Toads” Part… I’m Pretty Sure You Had The “Purple”… After That Many Double Diamonds Who Can Remember Huh?

Of Course After That Came “Toad-Aid” And Gigs Across Southern Ontario And Montreal… So Many Great Nights Playing… From The Star Club To Lee’s Palace To The New Moon Freakers Ball And RPM.

Let’s Not Forget All The Partys And Friends Too… Epic “Farm” Partys With The Flamminios, Some Legendary Nights at 13 Grenadier With UIC… ya We Had A LOT OF Fun With UIC and The Franks, Crazy Lane, And That Whole Star Club Group.

As For The Music… I Want To Thank You For Being The Beat In The Purple Toads, Liquid Funeral And Of Course el Speedo.

Everywhere You Went People Loved You… I Think It Was Hard Not To… Such A good Natured Fella With a Ready Smile And An Enthusiasm For Good Times.

I Know We Haven’t Been Close For The Last Few Years, But I’m Happy That You Kept Active With Rob Sweeney.  You And Rob Made A Tonne Of Great Music Together Over The Years… From The Toads Through The Boneyard Devils, Crummy Stuff and Projects With Lyres And Fleshtones Allumni… You Kept It Rocking… You Kept It Rocking.

So, Bye For Now Mark… And I Hope You Know That You Left A Legacy Of Music, Friendship, Laughter And Love, And That It’s Shared By Everyone That Your Life Touched.

You Are The Last Of “The Moe-Keigans.”

Rest In Peace Mark
